Hope everyone had a great New Years Eve celebration, whatever you did! I had initially planned to do nothing and stay in, but decided to go where my parents and sister went and I was glad I went! It was surprisingly fun. We drove 71 miles (I kid you not) up north to a family friend’s house and celebrated New Years with some familiar and many unfamiliar faces. Glen and I brought Guitar Hero 3 and eventually a lot of the kids wanted in on it. There was also a Hula Dancer who was teaching everyone how to hula, and of course line dancing like the electric slide, cha cha slide and todo todo…typical Filipino stuff, lol. It was a typical Filipino party, but still fun. We left the party around 3am, and got home at 4am. That drive was really long, but luckily no crazy drivers on the road.
I thought about my resolutions this year, but I realized that goals are better since resolutions are usually not followed through. I wrote about my fitness goals for the month, and will continue to make monthly goals. After all, you’re more likely to follow through with goals when you start small and make attainable goals. Besides fitness goals, I also have goals to be more organized with money. Budgets are key!
The rest of the day was spent just spending the day with Glen. We had lunch at PF Changs and went to get 2008 calendars which were 50% off. The best time to get a calendar is definitely after New Years since they reduce the price!
Afterwards, uploaded pictures and did some work online for my blog. Now I’m about to call it a night!
Check out the pictures from New Years Eve here.
