Here’s a video of my two dogs Lex and Logan playing in our backyard. We call it the “Backyard Park” because we can’t take them to the dog park anymore. But I think it’s just as fun watching the two of them play because they’re both funny dogs. They know after they’re done, they have to wash their feet before going back into the house. Isn’t that cute?!
BTW, don’t mind my fobby filipino voice. I did that to disguise it.

So the weekend pretty much consisted of food, resting and movies.
Friday night Glen and I went by Deerfield Beach to get Reefs, which has become a thing we have done every year we’ve been together. This is my 4th pair of Reef sandals, so we’ve almost been together for 4 years! It’s kind of crazy to think that all this time has passed and we’re still together. Don’t get me wrong, there are times when I feel really pessimistic but there’s no doubt in my mind about being with him. <3 We then went to this restaurant called JBs by the Beach and had dinner there, and I really regret going. We should have just went to the pizza place that we knew wouldn’t let us down. That’s what happens when you want to try something new! I usually am always down for that but after this experience, I’m more inclined to look up reviews before trying a new restaurant.
Saturday, went by the beach to take a walk, and it was really hot out. I was dying of heat and it was probably around 8am. We had planned to see The Dark Knight in the afternoon but the IMAX tickets were sold out until the 10:40pm showing, so we ended up seeing the movie then, in its lateness. I feel so old. I had to take a nap before we left for the theater, and found myself falling asleep as we were going there. Thankfully the movie didn’t make me fall asleep. It was a great movie. One thing I thought was weird: Batman with a raspy voice. I get that he was trying to cover up his voice, but I still thought it was weird. Heath Ledger was great in it as the Joker and probably out did Jack Nicholson’s portrayal of Joker. Wish that they went into the Joker’s character in the movie more.
Sunday was a lazy day. Woke up around 11:30 and had brunch. It was definitely a make your own food day today. I think a lot of this weekend was all about food, as my life always revolves around trying to cook my own food and learn. I think I’m getting the hang of it and I really enjoy it. It’s nice to know the food I’m eating was made by me and even better when others enjoy what I make. I made a simple dinner - Penne with Chicken in a Roasted Garlic Alfredo Sauce. Seriously. So easy to make. Glen even took some home for his lunch tomorrow. I also made a tuna salad in spinach for lunch tomorrow as well. Oh, I also worked out today which I was surprised I had the energy and drive to. Going to start training for a race in October, so I gotta get back on the exercise horse!
Weekends are seriously WAY too short.

…literally! I will never go to Vegas during this time of year again. But it was definitely a nice vacation, spent with my love. We did a lot of work the first 2 days and the rest of the time eating and walking around. We even got to see the Hoover Dam which was crazy because it was so hot. Took a bunch of pictures, so check them out on my Flickr!
For my next little getaway, I really want to go up to NYC since I didn’t get to go when I had planned to, but I’ll wait til the weather gets cooler up there before going. I’m really aiming for sometime in October or November, so we’ll see! I miss my friends up north a LOT, get stuff that I can’t get down here in FL (certain food and restaurants) and I want to go karaoke!!
Gotta save up, so I won’t have to worry so much about money and just have fun.
But yeah, other than that, it’s good to be back home and back to normalcy.

So checked the weather for where I’ll be next week. It’s going to be pretty toasty over there! Looking forward to it!

It may seem lame to some people, but I was amongst many people who lined up to get my hands on an iPhone 3G. After stalking the MacRumors forums for the past week, I had a plan to get there early, even if it made me late for work. So I got to the Apple store in the mall around 6:30am, got into the store by 9am, and was out of the store with my 3G at 10:45am.
It didn’t help that the servers were down and my phone wouldn’t activate. But I was patient and happy that I had gotten the phone, so however long it took. It was nuts though as I was leaving… the line was seriously insanely long! I went back to the mall after work with my mom and sister to browse some clothing stores and there was still a pretty long line to get iPhones. So imagine how it will be all weekend!
Nonetheless, I am so happy I have my iPhone, I got the 16GB in white. I was debating what size to get, but then I realized the App Store! So I went bigger. I got a clear case to protect my phone as well, and it looks slick! Now I just need to get the screen protector film, and I’m complete. I didn’t get it when I was at the store because the employee had said it wasn’t the same size, but I’m pretty convinced it is, since my Paul Frank case fit fine on the new iPhone.
Anyway, enough of my iPhone rant. I seriously hope that everyone who wants one gets one, because it’s such a great phone. The 3G speed makes mobile web worthwhile.
