Travel Sites Make Taking A Trip Easy

One of my favorite things to do is taking a trip, whether it be a getaway a 2 hour drive away, or an airplane ride 5 hours away to the west coast of the country. I love the planning, and the anticipation up to the day that I’ll be able to do something different from working, exercising, and blogging and experience a new place. It’s quite a task, however to find the best rate on flights (if I have to fly out) and a hotel to stay at. When it comes to hotels, I’m really picky because I’ve stayed at many hotels and a lot of them were dumps! The saying really is true: you get what you pay for! When I stay away from home, I really try to find a place where I’m going to be comfortable. Safety and my overall comfort at a hotel is very important.

I found this site which is really easy to navigate around and being that I’m pretty internet savvy, it’s more than I can ask for in being user friendly. Hotel Reservations is a site that helps you find the best rates on a hotel stay. Most of these rates are special internet rates, so if you try to book at the actual hotel, you’ll most likely get a different and even higher rate! Hotel Reservations makes it easy to find a place to stay, providing ratings and full details on the hotel property. Not only can you find the best rate on a hotel stay, but flights, car rentals and even full vacation packages as well! It’s like they do all the work, and you just need to provide when and where you want to stay. I also discovered that they offer a cash back coupon if you stay at a hotel for a certain amount of time. If you stay at a hotel for at least 3 nights you’re eligible for the offer. I think that’s more incentive to just get away for a weekend and experience something new.

I’m definitely going to keep Hotel Reservations in mind when I book my next getaway.

Over The Top Dog Costume

Lex and Logan (my 2 dogs) would totally be scared if I dressed them up in armor. Although this looks kind of cool, my dogs prefer wearing t-shirts. They’re simple like that.

Me and My Jeans

JeansDo you have a pair of jeans that you try to avoid wearing? I do. I bought them at American Eagle a year ago. In fact, they used to be my favorite pair of jeans to wear, in fact, I liked them so much that I got another pair, thus having 2 pairs of crappy jeans. Then, I got a pair of jeans from Delias. Delias jeans seem to know what they’re doing because they cater to all types of heights and sizes. So I feel good when I wear those jeans. The fabric is more jean like than the American Eagle jeans, which are now loose fitting and thin.

I guess the American Eagle jeans are good when I’m having a “I’m feeling fat” day because when I wear them, I can widen the waist away from my stomach and think about how much weight I’m losing. Also, the AE jeans are long so I have to fold them at the bottom which sucks when I’m wearing my Chucks. They drag on the floor and they start to wear down even more. I told myself though that I couldn’t get any jeans until I could fit into a 4 again. So I guess I’ll be wearing these until then.

I know what you’re thinking: You must be really bored to be ranting about your jeans.

New Obsession = Potentially Spending $$$

Okay, I’ll admit it. I WANT an iPhone. I’m a Mac user and it’s probably weird to know that my cellphone is on Windows Mobile, thus I cannot sync my phone to my Mac. I didn’t really think of this when I bought the phone, so I’m kicking myself because of it. I had AT&T but switch to T-Mobile because 1) Cingular sucks but now they’re AT&T. 2) I seemed to be paying more with Cingular. T-Mobile’s service in my area is alright for the most part, and I don’t pay a lot because my sister and I are on a family plan.

Now what sucks is that with the whole unlocking iPhone thing and becoming a useless brick once their update becomes available, I know if I were to get one I’d probably brick the thing. So I’m stuck. I could either - go back to AT&T and pay a shiotload for a phone that I’ll only use for its Mac-ness or get an iPhone, unlock it and hopefully not accidentally brick it. Ugh.

Apple, I hate you, but I can’t. You make such good electronics, darnit! :(

For now, I’m just following the MacRumors forum and hope that those hackers will find a way around it.

WTF Tony Almeida Back on 24?

Tony Almeida Back!Although 24’s last season disappointed me, next season is coming back soon enough and I just found out Tony Almeida will be on the show! And AS Tony Almeida. If you’re into 24 you know that he was killed by being stabbed by the dude that killed his wife. And the funny thing is that I just realized is that when a character dies on 24, they silence the countdown. But if you noticed in the episode where Tony is killed, the countdown isn’t silenced. So maybe that was tied with him actually not being killed after all.

According to a Fox press release (and found in wikipedia), Show-runner Howard Gordon explained that Tony’s “uncertain fate” left the door open for his return[2] and cited the lack of a silent clock as a deliberate move to keep his death ambiguous.[3] “We didn’t give him the silent clock because we always wanted to keep alive the possibility for some kind of (admittedly) miraculous resurrection … which we will explain,” and followed up with “He’s definitely NOT the Almeida we once knew.

Ok, NOW I’m actually excited for this upcoming season. Yay! Tony’s back!
